Dr. Annick Buchholz, C. Psych.
Dr.
Annick Buchholz is a registered clinical psychologist in Ontario (B.Sc.
Double Major/Honours Exercise Science/Psychology, Concordia University
’90; M.Sc. Experimental Psychology, McMaster University ’92; Ph.D.
Clinical Psychology, Concordia University ‘98). Dr. Buchholz
has
trained and worked in a variety of child and adult hospital settings,
as well as primary and high school settings. She currently
also
works part-time as a staff psychologist at the Children’s Hospital of
Eastern Ontario.
Dr. Buchholz is fluently bilingual and provides
psychological services to children, youth, adults, and families in both
English and French. Her areas of expertise include
child/youth
behavioural issues, parenting, relationships, dealing with loss and
grief, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. Dr.
Buchholz
has a warm and caring approach with clients, and uses an integrative
approach to counselling and therapy.
She is a member of the
College of Psychologists of Ontario, the Canadian Psychological
Association, the American Psychological Association, the Academy of
Eating Disorders, and the Research Institute of the Children’s Hospital
of Eastern Ontario. Dr. Buchholz is a consultant on several
mental health projects in the province of Ontario including ‘Body
